摘要 <p>A honeycomb structure that excels in catalyst supporting capability, and that when used in a honeycomb catalyst body, realizes a honeycomb catalyst body excelling in purification efficiency, reduced in pressure loss and mountable even in a limited space; and a honeycomb catalyst body excelling in purification efficiency, reduced in pressure loss and mountable even in a limited space. There is provided honeycomb structure (1) for catalyst support, comprising porous cell wall (4) having a multiplicity of micropores arranged so as to create multiple cells (3) realizing communication between two end faces (2a,2b) and comprising gas passage blocking part (10) disposed at at least portion of the cell end faces (2a,2b) or cell interior so as to realize substantial gas flow within the cell wall (4), wherein the micropore diameter distribution (graphed with the value of micropore diameter plotted on the horizontal axis and the micropore volume plotted on the vertical axis) with respect to micropores (25) of the cell wall (4) is made up so as to have two or more peaks relating to the micropore volume in the region of 0.05 µm or greater micropore diameter value.</p>
