The main body is a fibrous composite material. It has various surface (2) coatings (10) or contents which may be overall, or applied locally. The properties conferred are surface-hardening, anti-adhesion and thermal conductivity. These properties are enhanced, in comparison with those of the body. The coating is a nano-coating. Reinforcing fibers are orientated in accordance with cutting forces on the teeth or cutters (4). The saw blade may be of the circular type. Metal or ceramic cutters are used. An independent claim is included for the corresponding method of manufacture.
