<p>A protective tube for melt temperature measuring that excels in durability and impact resistance. There is provided protective tube (1) for melt temperature measuring capable of accommodating therein temperature detection element (40) for measuring of melt temperature, comprising tube main body (10) and reinforcing material (30) covering the tube main body (10), wherein the reinforcing material (30) is one obtained by impregnating base material sheet (32) of glass fiber with a vitreous coating agent and covering the whole surface of the base material sheet (32) with coating film (34) of the vitreous coating agent.</p>
