<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress dispersion of a water amount in active material paste after drying it in a preliminary drying process of an electrode plate of a lead-acid battery, and to suppress dispersion in a maturing drying process being a post-process and dispersion of battery performance due to it. <P>SOLUTION: This drying device of an electrode plate for a lead-acid battery is used for preliminarily drying an electrode plate in a non-dried state with active material paste filled in a lattice body before maturing drying. The drying device is provided with a hot air supply device for supplying hot air to the electrode plate, and a far-infrared ray generation device for irradiating the electrode plate with a far-infrared ray. By simultaneous use of the hot air and the far-infrared ray, dispersion of a moisture amount in the paste after drying it is suppressed, a preliminary drying facility is downsized, and its processing capability is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
