<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-acid storage battery capable of restraining stratification (a high-low difference of sulfuric acid concentration) of its electrolyte solution, and restraining performance degradation in discharge capacity or the like and corrosion of an anode collector ear part caused by the above. <P>SOLUTION: For the lead-acid storage battery provided with an anode plate 3 having an anode grid body 1 made of Pb or a Pb alloy not substantially containing Sb, at least one of metal elements M selected from a group of W, Pt, Pd, Ni, and Fe is made to exist at a lower part of the anode plate.
