PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a processing depending on urgency for every generated error. SOLUTION: A program or data prepared by a PC is stored in a storage device incorporated in a PLC and is used for the execution of sequence control. In addition to a control operation program for executing main control, data such as an error processing program and an error information table are stored in the PLC. An error level indicating the priority of error reset in each error code, a message to be displayed at the occurrence of an error, and so on, are defined in the error information table. When an error is generated in a sequence control system, the PLC specifies an error level corresponding to the sort of the generated error on the basis of the error information table. Then the PLC rearranges information concerned with the generated error, such as a message allocated to the error code, on the basis of the specified error level and displays the rearranged information on a display device.
