NEW REAGENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new reagent which enables the synthesis of various organic silyl compounds to whose ends trialkoxysilyl groups are bound, and to provide a method for simply producing the reagent in a high yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the new reagent is characterized by reacting a benzyl halide compound represented by the general formula (2) (R1to R3are each a lower alkyl; X is a halogen atom) with a phosphite compound represented by the general formula (3) (R4is a lower alkyl).
