PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the stable and industrial production of fluvastatine sodium at a low cost. SOLUTION: Industrially valuable fluvastatine sodium (chemical name: (±)-(3RS,5SR,6E)-sodium-7-[3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(1-methylethyl)-1H-indol-2-yl]-3,5-dihydroxy-6-heptenoate) is produced by the spray-drying of a solution containing fulvastatine sodium.
