<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively peel (remove) developer that has accumulated on a stirring member, while preventing the deterioration of image quality. <P>SOLUTION: A pressing member 21 pressing the respective spiral stirring members 2 and 3 in a direction (direction orthogonal to axis) substantially orthogonal to the rotary shafts thereof is supported to displace to a pressing position, where it presses and bends the stirring members 2 and 3 and a retreat position, where it is separated from the stirring members 2 and 3 by a stirring member pressing mechanism A. Furthermore, when an image is formed, the pressing member 21 is held at the retreat position, and immediately before shifting to a refreshing stage, when the image is not formed, the pressing member 21 is displaced to the pressing position and bends the stirring members 2 and 3, and then is made to retreat to the retreat position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
