PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to print a business card immediately as it is without being troubled by data input operation and, when necessary, an appropriate personal identification processing is made possible.

SOLUTION: All the information necessary for printing the business card 10 as it is including character information 16 and printing format information 17 printed in the business card 10 is displayed by a quadratic bar code 12 printed in the margin of the business card 10. A printer is equipped with a reader 31 for reading the quadratic bar code 12 printed in the business card, an information acquiring means 32 for acquiring the information displayed by the quadratic bar code 12 and a printing means 33 for printing business card by selecting a printing paper, the character information and the printing format information based on the information acquired by the information acquiring means 32.
