<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oily ink composition for a writing utensil, which provides excellent dissolution stability of nigrosine in an aliphatic alcohol without causing a rise in viscosity of ink by addition of nigrosine and a writing utensil. <P>SOLUTION: The oily ink composition for writing utensil comprises at least nigrosine, a≤4C aliphatic alcohol, a resin soluble in the alcohol and a phosphoric acid alkyl ether represented by general formula (1) (RO)<SB>n</SB>PO(OH)<SB>3-n</SB>(n is 1 or 2; R is a 1-11C alkyl group).
