PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk and a magnetic disk apparatus having excellent super low floating stability of a magnetic head and durability to contact sliding between the head and the disk. SOLUTION: In the magnetic disk having a lubricant having a perfluoropolyether structure formed on the surface thereof, a lubricant film on a protective layer contains a perfluoropolyether having an aromatic imide ring or an aliphatic imide ring in at least one molecular chain terminal and a perfluoropolyether having a hydroxyl group in at least one molecular chain terminal.
