PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode material for an electric double layer capacitor having excellent output properties regardless of a used temperature area, a method of manufacturing the same, and an electric double layer capacitor. SOLUTION: In the electrode material for the electric double layer capacitor, the half-width (Δν1) of a peak (G1) around 1,580 cm-1observed in a Raman spectrum has a change rate of 5% or less before and after the charging of the electrode material for the electric double layer capacitor.
