PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device, such as a large liquid crystal display, which has an electronic component generating a relatively large amount of heat and saves power by utilizing generated heat. SOLUTION: The electronic device includes a thermal power-generating element sheet 21 disposed at the rear of a backlight 19, the sheet 21 of which is made by mounting a thermal heat-generating element 21a on a base member 21b, circuits 25 and 26 which convert the voltage electricity generated by the thermal heat-generating element 21a into target voltages Ed and Ec, corresponding to power circuit output voltages Eb (AC) and Ea (DC), mixing circuits 15 and 6 which mixes the power circuit output electricity (voltages Eb and Ea) with the electricity generated by the thermal heat-generating element 21a (which has undergone voltage conversion) for supplying mixed electricity to an electronic component, such as the backlight 19, and backflow preventing circuits 27 and 30 which prevent the backflow of electricity. Electricity, generated by the thermal heat-generating element 21a, is fed back to an electricity supply line from the power circuit to the electronic component to circulate energy.
