PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-luminous display capable of suppressing deterioration of contrast caused by incidence of external light without damaging an optical output. SOLUTION: The self-luminous display includes a plurality of cells provided with a front glass substrate 1 and a rear glass substrate 2 oppositely arranged, and a phosphor layer 5 (a light emitting part) arranged between the front glass substrate 1 and the rear glass substrate 2. A plurality of pairs of light reflection materials 7 and light absorbing materials 8 arranged sequentially in relation to the rear glass substrate 2 are provided in an effective screen between the front glass substrate 1 and the phosphor layer 5 (the light emitting part).
