PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion generating device and an electric equipment equipped with this capable of making ion generated by discharge hardly affected by recombination or the like and capable of more efficiently emitting ion. SOLUTION: For the ion generating device generating ion by impressing alternate-current voltage on a discharging part 21 equipped with a discharge electrode 21a and a dielectric electrode 21b opposed to each other with an interposition of a dielectric 15 is provided with a direct-current impressing means impressing direct-current voltage on the discharge electrode 21a. Preferably, the direct-current voltage impressing means 17, 18 are enabled to selectively impress either a positive direct-current voltage or a negative direct-current voltage, so that plus ion and minus ion are alternately emitted by alternately switching polarity of the impressed voltages.
