PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which excels in storage stability in a high temperature and high humidity environment, takes on a good tone after development, and ensures less tone variation, and an image forming method. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material contains organic silver, a silver halide, a binder, a reducing agent and a decolorable dye on a support, wherein the decolorable dye is selectively decolored in an unexposed portion after exposure and development.
