PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the productivity of a lens system by obtaining appropriate evaluation on partial blur and providing a method for manufacturing a lens system based on the result of evaluation. SOLUTION: The lens system free from the partial blur is manufactured by positioning the lens system based on the spatial frequency characteristics of MTF, and the result of the evaluation of the lens system according to a difference between the focal positions on an optical axis and off an optical axis in a radial direction of luminous flux passing through the lens system, and a difference between a maximum value and a minimum value of the MTF on the optical axis and off the optical axis in the radial direction of the luminous flux passing through the lens system when displacing in parallel with the optical axis to object and image sides respectively from a focusing position on the optical axis.
