PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type compressor reduced in its size in a crank shaft direction and improved in compression efficiency in the compressor. SOLUTION: In a scroll type compressor 50 for rotating a movable side scroll 64 in which movable side rotation teeth 70, 71 are formed to a first casing (a fixed side scroll) 51 in which fixed side rotation teeth 60, 61 are formed, a plain metal 74 functioning as a sliding part for supporting a back surface part 79 of the mobile side scroll 63 is provided on a wall surface of a second casing 52. As the plain metal 74 receives thrust load in a right direction in a figure which is generated on the mobile side scroll 64 and heat accompanying rotation driving with a large area, load applied to a bearing 92 for the mobile side scroll is decreased. Hence, as for the bearing 92 for the mobile side scroll, a needle bearing can be replaced with a ball bearing and thus the size in a crank shaft direction is significantly reduced.
