PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forged road wheel made of an aluminum alloy, which is light while having excellent mechanical property, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The road wheel provided with a hub part 2 for fitting wheel shaft, a disk part 4 having a design face 3 positioned at the surrounding of the hub part 2 and a rim part 5 integrally formed at the surrounding edge of the disk part 4, is constituted by forging the aluminum alloy including, by mass ratio, 0.95-1.35% Si, 0.8-1.2% Mg, 0.2-0.5% Cu, 0.4-0.7% Mn,≤0.3% Fe, 0.05-0.25% Cr and the balance aluminum. Crystal grains of design face 3 and the rim part 5 of the disk part 4, have the metallic structure of≤50μm grain size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
