The present invention relates to a cap made of a semirigid material such as plastic or cardboard. The various parts of the component fold and assemble together by virtue of their precut form. The star-shaped covering part corresponds to the main part of the cap. It has eleven arms, and each arm has a fixing tab on each side of its end, with the exception of arms 1 and 11 which have only one tab on the inward side. Between these two arms is a V-shaped opening to fit around the side of anything. The sides of the arms are rounded, and, once the arms are assembled together, enable the covering part to be given a hemispherical form. The peak is in two parts, the halves (V4) and (V8) of the peak carry on from arms 4 and 8. The fixing support for the latter is in line with the central arm 6. The adjustable attachment of the cap is made up of two parts, each part being positioned on the end opposite the fixing tabs of arms 1 and 11, at the end of the V-shaped opening.
