<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for opening/closing an original cover plate where a compression coil spring functions stably and surely to rapidly and smoothly actuate the original cover plate, and setting change for the shrinkage amount of the compression coil spring can be made very easily. <P>SOLUTION: The device for opening/closing the original cover plate comprises an attaching member attached to the device body of a copying machine or the like; a support member, pivotally attached to the attaching member so as to freely turn and also supporting the original cover plate; first and second sliders housed in the support member so as to slide freely; and the compression coil spring interposed between the sliders and also energized, in a direction where the original cover plate is opened. A spring cover is provided integrally on at least either slider so as to cover over the compression coil spring, even when the original cover plate is opened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
