PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of contributing to the improvement of user's convenience in the case of selecting a required file from a plurality of files requiring authentication processing for accesses. SOLUTION: A file management system is provided with: a character string acquisition part for acquiring a character string to be used for prescribed authentication processing; an added information judgment part for judging whether the character string acquired by the character string acquisition part is a character string to which prescribed characters composed of at least one character are added to a prescribed authenticating character string for executing the authentication processing or not; an authentication processing part for executing the authentication processing on the basis of the authenticating character string included in the character string acquired by the character string acquisition part when the added information judgment part judges that the prescribed characters are added to the prescribed authenticating character string; and a processing execution part for executing the prescribed processing for a file which is previously made to correspond to the prescribed characters included in the character string acquired by the character string acquisition part when the authentication processing part succeeds the authentication processing.
