PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demodulation apparatus which is applied to a television receiving set or the like to process a digital television broadcasting and reduces the time required for a tuning. SOLUTION: Each different I value is set to time deinterleave units 81 to 84. The time deinterleave units 81 to 84 apply a deinterleave processing of a time direction by the I value set each to a signal supplied from a frequency deinterleave portion 66. When the I value detected by a TMCC detecting portion 65 is supplied to a selector 85, the selector 85 selects an output obtained from the time deinterleave portion conducting the deinterleave processing by the supplied I value and outputs it to a next processing.
