摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque-measuring device, torque sensor and torque measuring measuring method capable of measuring, even very small torque, using liquid crystal torque sensor. SOLUTION: The torque sensor 10 comprises a detection shaft 12; the shaft holding member 11 arranged with an end of the detection shaft 12 in the inside of the same; a liquid crystal LC filed between the inside of the shaft holding member 11 and the external periphery of the detection shaft 12; an observation part for observing the orientation distribution formed in the liquid crystal LC and the torque in the torque sensor 10; and a torque calculation part 20 for calculating torque imparted to the detection shaft 12, based on the variations of the orientation distribution of the liquid crystal LC observed by the observation part. The outer surface of the detection shaft 12 of the torque sensor 10 is a surface processed for making equivalent orientation distribution in the liquid crystal LC, positioned between the outer periphery of the detection shaft 12 and the internal surface of the shaft holding member 11, when orientation distribution of discontinuous segments asymmetrical to the detection shaft 12 exists.
