PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake capable of reducing a brake squeak by stabilizing a contact state of a brake pad and mounting. SOLUTION: A shim 34 arranged between a back plate 40 and pressing surface 74 of a claw part 56 in a caliper is provided with an inclined part 36 which generates an energization force for bringing the back plate 40 into contact with the mounting 12 by moving the back plate 40 in a trailing direction with respect to the rotation during the advance of a disk rotor by a pressing force of the claw part 56. The contact state of the back plate 40 and mounting 12 is corrected at every braking operation by the energization force generated by the inclined part 36 so as to stabilize their contact state. As a result, the contact state of an outer pad 42 and disk rotor is stabilized to reduce a brake squeak. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
