PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent driveability from being deteriorated by suppressing the abrupt change of engine torque resulting from the change of a compression ratio when changing the compression ratio. SOLUTION: The ratio of the injection amount of the fuel in an injection valve 22 for direction injection to the total amount of the injection amounts of the fuel is determined to cancel the change of engine torque resulting from the change of the compression ratio when changing the compression ratio. Then, the engine torque is gently changed to the engine torque corresponding to the compression ratio after the change by gradually returning the ratio of the injection amount of the fuel to the value before changing the compression ratio (S105).
