The mechanism comprises a differential pressure switch designed as a pressure switch (1) and a temperature sensor (2) for controlling the blockage degree of a fuel filter of the fuel supply and for controlling fuel heating. The pressure switch and the temperature sensor are combined into a switch unit (30). The controller of the temperature sensor and a separate logic unit (3) of the pressure switch are coupled kinematically with each other and their motion superimpose mechanically. The logic unit is directly connected with an outgoing switching contact for switching the fuel heating. An INDEPENENT CLAIM is also included for the heating mechanism for the fuel.
