ION BEAM DETECTOR

It is possible to provide an ion beam detector capable of promptly identifying energy of an ion beam generated and measuring the ion beam in real time while applying a laser. The ion beam detector (1) includes: a photo conversion unit (7) for transmitting X-rays contained in an ion (3) and converting the ion (3) into light; a photo detection unit (9) for detecting the light caused by the ion (3) converted by the photo conversion unit (7) as an electric signal; and a flying time measuring unit (10) for measuring a flying time required for the ion (3) to reach the photo conversion unit (7). At the side where the photo conversion unit (7) receives the ion (3) are provided an electron removing unit (5) for removing an electron from the ion (3) and a light shielding unit (6) for shielding the light contained in the ion (3). Between the photo conversion unit (7) and the photo detection unit (9) is formed a curved portion (8) curved with respect to the optical axis of the ion (3) incident in the photo conversion unit (7).
