A laminated conveyer belt includes at least the following plies: (A) a woven or corded material embedded in rubber, plastics or elastomeric material, (B) a rubber, plastics or elastomeric material and (C) a rubber, plastics or elastomeric material incorporating fibres oriented mainly in the longitudinal direction of the belt. Ply (A) may comprise woven, corded (including cord fabrics and cable cord), braided cotton, rayon, polyamide, polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, glass yarn or metal yarn. Provided at least one ply (C) is present, similar plies wherein the fibres are unoriented, or oriented in other directions, can be provided.
