<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a defect in secondary transfer caused by concurrently using toner having different transferability without causing complicated apparatus constitution and cost rising. <P>SOLUTION: A secondary transfer charger 7 being a secondary transfer means is used also as a charged amount adjusting means. When a difference is present in the charged amount of each toner to be superposed on an intermediate transfer belt 12, voltage is applied by the secondary transfer charger 7 when a toner image primarily transferred to the intermediate transfer belt 12 passes through a secondary transfer area, whereby the charged amount of the toner on the intermediate transfer belt 12 is adjusted to make the difference in the charged amount of each color toner to be superposed small. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
