<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily know the title of a piece of music concerning an information processing apparatus, a search server and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A terminal 35 is a portable device by which a user can store a piece of music that is occasionally played in a cafeteria or the like in a memory unit 44 by operating an input/output unit 42. Information stored in the memory unit 44 is read by a processing unit 45, predetermined processing is applied thereto, and the information is stored in a storage unit 46. This stored information is transferred to a server by a communication unit 40.
