<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cope with a situation of determination of rough road travelling in a state in which a connection between a power shaft of a power source and an input shaft on a transmission side is released in a vehicle having a connection release device such as a clutch to connect or release the connection between the power shaft and the input shaft. <P>SOLUTION: When travelling on a rough road in a state in which an engine is separated form a CVT side by disengaging a clutch and the engine operation is stopped, a vehicle control method starts the engine to up-shift the CVT, and sets a gear ratio γ to a value 1 of a minimum gear ratio γmin (S180-S210). Therefore, the method decreases torque operating to a primary pulley and a secondary pulley of the CVT caused by the travelling on the rough road, and prevents breakage of the CVT. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
