摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular airbelt system with improved occupant constraint performance in the vehicle width direction by inflating an inflation section toward an upper position opposed to the side of the occupant's head in case of a side impact. <P>SOLUTION: Upon an occurrence of a side impact or a prediction thereof, a belt guide 21 moves inward in the vehicle width direction by actuation of belt guide movement device 22 and then an occupant constraint webbing 16 is drawn inward in the vehicle width direction, thus the inflation section 18 comes further closer to the side head 14S of an occupant 14 than that in a state before the occurrence of the side impact. Moreover, an inflator is actuated in accordance with output signals sent from a side impact sensor and gas injected from the inflator is supplied into the inflation section 18, thereby inflating the inflation section 18. Accordingly, the inflation section 18 can be inflated toward the upper position opposed to the side head 14S of the occupant 14, and the occupant constraint performance therefore can be further improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
