PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN system 10 which sets frequency channels suitable to respective access points 20 even when a radio wave transmitted from one adjacent access points 20 is not received by the other access point 20 or when a wireless LAN terminal 12 does not have a special function. SOLUTION: The wireless LAN system 10 makes the respective access points 20 transmit radio waves in order with larger output than during normal wireless communication and makes the other access points 20 receive the radio waves transmitted from the access points 20 to determine frequency channels to be used by the respective access points 20 based upon reception states of the access points 20.
