PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording apparatus with enhanced convenience capable of entirely dubbing video recording information whose dubbing is desired by a user, earlier than with conventional apparatuses. SOLUTION: A CPU 8 calculates a dubbing completion time T1 when video recording information is dubbed to a DVD, wherein the video recording information is selected by an operation of a remote controller 21 among video recording information items recorded on a hard disk, searches reservation video recording start time information stored in a flash memory 18 to search a reservation video recording start time T2 closest to a present time, and if the dubbing completion time T1 is later than the reservation video recording start time T2, the CPU 8 investigates video recording information items capable of being dubbed within a time from the present time until the reservation video recording start time T2 among the selected video recording information items, and dubs the investigated video recording information from the hard disk to the DVD.
