PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a malfunction diagnostic system of a variable displacement compressor which diagnoses the variable displacement compressor to be in a lock state. SOLUTION: An air conditioner controller 30 presumes that the variable displacement compressor 11 is in a locked state, when abnormal slip of a belt V occurs, and sliding ratio S≥80% is maintained, even if the discharge capacity of the variable displacement compressor 11 is lowered to 50% by controlling an electromagnetic capacity control valve 11b of the variable displacement compressor 11. Subsequently, a light emission diode of an alarming device 39 is lit so as to inform a passenger of the locked state of the variable displacement compressor 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
