PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve in which the accumulation of deposits around a nozzle hole is reduced by eliminating the fuel accumulating at the nozzle hole portion. SOLUTION: A sleeve 40 has an opening 43 through which the fuel jetted from the nozzle hole passes. The sleeve 40 has a groove 45 extending from an inner peripheral wall forming the opening 43 to the outer peripheral side. When the injection of the fuel from the nozzle hole is stopped, the fuel accumulating at the opening 43 is carried to the radial outer end of the sleeve 40 through the groove 45 by a capillary action. The fuel carried to the radial outer end of the sleeve 40 is evaporated at that end. Since the fuel accumulating at the opening 43 on the outlet side of the nozzle hole can be eliminated, the accumulation of deposits can be reduced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
