PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate variations in response time of a current flowing in gradient coils to a trigger of power sources regardless of the changes of the combination of an output voltage of the main power source and an output voltage of the auxiliary power source when frequency characteristics of the main power source are not sufficient. SOLUTION: The gradient coil 7, the main power source 5, a plurality of high-voltage power sources 6, a plurality of switch elements SW, and a plurality of diodes D keep a first state of assisting a main power source by the high-voltage power source by ON/OFF control of the switch elements by a controller 8 to drive the gradient coil and a second state of driving the gradient coil only by the main power source optional in circuit configuration, to assist the main power source by one or the arbitrary combination of the plurality of high-voltage power sources in the first state, and to switch a voltage polarity to the gradient coil of the high-voltage power source.
