The present invention relates to a device for actuating a valve (3; 46) on a hot-drinks preparation unit which comprises a water container (2), a drinks container (5) and a basic body (1) having a brewing means (4), and a valve (3; 46) at an interface (10; 44) between the water container (2) or the drinks container (5) and the basic body (1), having a movably mounted valve body acted upon by a spring force, in which device an actuator (6; 45) produces the movement, required for actuating the valve (3; 46), of the valve body against the spring force.
