The invention relates to a covering for a height-adjustable armrest, particularly a door covering. The invention creates a covering, particularly a door lining of a motor vehicle door, provided with: an armrest that can swivel about a swiveling axis (2); a support, which guides the armrest (3) in its swiveling motion, and; a stopping mechanism for fixing the armrest (3) in a desired swiveling position. In order to guide the armrest (3), the support (4) has a guide rail (5) inside of which a guide element (6) belonging to the armrest (3) is guided and/or the armrest (3) has a guide rail (5), inside of which a guide element (6) belonging to the support (4) is guided. The armrest (3) has a supporting surface (7) with a length that permits an underarm to completely supported, and the arm rest (3) is rigid throughout in the area of the supporting surface (7).
