BACK-LIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME

A backlight assembly and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to fix a bottom chassis by a push prevention jaw, thereby increasing the combining force of the bottom chassis and a mold frame. A light supply unit(200) includes a light source for generating the light. A mold frame(300) fixes the side of the light supply unit. A bottom chassis(400) is combined with the mold frame and covers the lower portion of the light supply unit. A push prevention jaw(320) is formed at the outside of the mold frame so that the push of the bottom chassis is prevented. The push prevention jaw is formed at the outside surface corresponding to the long side adjacent to the short side of the mold frame. The bottom chassis is constructed by a bottom member for covering the side combined with the outside surface of the mold frame and the lower portion of the light supply unit. The side adjacent to the light source is opened. The push prevention jaw is formed at the opposite side of the position of the light source.
