A circuit for detecting a burn-out of a rectifier in an induction melting furnace is provided to enhance an operation stability of the induction melting furnace by instantly stopping the operation of an overall system when an SCR(Silicon Controlled Rectifier) is burnt. A first voltage sensor(211) is parallel-connected to R' and S' terminals and first and second switches(S1,S2), and generates positive and negative signals based on a voltage difference between the R' and S' terminals. A first comparator compares the voltage difference with a reference voltage. A first inverted amplifier(231) inverts an output signal due to a voltage difference between the R' and S' terminals. A first inverted comparator(241) compares the output from the first inverted amplifier with the reference voltage. A second comparator compares an output from a second voltage sensor(212) with the reference voltage. A second inverted amplifier(232) inverts the output from the second voltage sensor. A second inverted comparator compares the output from the second inverted amplifier with the reference voltage.
