<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, with which a user's recognition of image quality deterioration is suppressed and the image persistence of a screen can be suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: A signal processing section 103 performs interpolation processing in the horizontal direction of a display element, to move the image in the spontaneous light display element 104 within the regulated time and to move the image in a line unit in a perpendicular direction within the regulated time. Also, the signal processing section 103 changes the movement processing method, according to the information detected in an OSD feature detecting element 101 and a video feature detecting element 102.
