<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head mounted display device using a non-coaxial optical system in which the structure of the non-coaxial optical system is simplified and yet the special image free of distortions can be projected to a visor. <P>SOLUTION: The head mounted display device includes the visor 12 which is supported at a helmet 11, and is arranged in front of the eyes, a special camera 13a which photographs forward at the sensitivity different from that of the direct view image observed forward through the visor 12, an image creation section 14a which creates the special image photographed by the special camera 13a, a screen display element 17a which displays the image on a screen, and the non-coaxial optical system 18a which projects the image displayed on the screen to the visor 12 from a diagonal direction so as to make the projected image and the direct view image visible. The image creation section 14 has a distorted image formation section 21a which creates the distorted special image formed by previously distorting the special image in compliance with the distortion produced by the visor and the non-coaxial optical system and outputs the distorted special image to the screen display element 17a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
