<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce natural sound effect without sense of incongruity, when physical phenomenon, such as collision of objects is displayed on a game screen. <P>SOLUTION: A sound data base comprising a plurality of classified wave form data is stored in a RAM 14. When the phenomenon, in which a ball hits an iron wall is displayed on a display section 19 in progressing of a game, a CPU 11 specifies a material and a shape of the ball from a material attribute data of the ball, and specifies collision magnitude by kinetic energy at the time of collision, which is calculated by a collision state and a physical engine 13, and the wave form data which meets condition is read out from the sound database in the RAM 14. A sound processor 20 adjusts the musical pitch of the wave form data, based on a mass of the ball, and adjusts a volume based on the kinetic energy at the time of the collision, and thereafter, outputs the sound from a speaker 22 via an amplifier. The CPU 11 produces collision sound of the iron wall by similar processing and outputs it from the speaker 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
