PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both the easiness and the protection enhancement of an authenticating operation relating to patient information by a higher order.

SOLUTION: This patient information management system is provided with a storage part 107 for storing patient information including patient personal information including a name and an address concerning a patient and medical examination/inspection information including medical examination records and inspection records and an authentication module 103 for requesting the authentication of a patient in response to the download request of the patient information from the storage part, and for requesting the authentication of a medical person concerned at an upload request origin and the authentication of the patient in response to the upload request of the patient information to the storage part.
