PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a number of data formatters. SOLUTION: The execution of a test process of a testing device for generating a test result, related to the test of at least one device (DUT) to be tested is blocked (1); a number of data formatters operating so that the test result is formatted are started, while the execution of the test process is being blocked (2); and the block is canceled, when it is decided that the start of a number of data formatters has succeeded (3).
