PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightweight vibration compressor not affecting the other device by preventing the effect of leakage of magnetic flux, particularly alternating magnetic field from a linear drive part. SOLUTION: This vibration compressor comprises a pair of opposed pistons 20 forming a compression space 22 for a working gas, the linear drive part having a movable coil 27 and a permanent magnet 26 and reciprocatingly driving the piston, a yoke 23 disposed around the piston 20 and forming the magnetic circuit of the linear drive part, and a casing 21 joined to the end of the yoke and surrounding, together with the yoke, the piston and the linear drive part. A magnetic shield means (for example, magnetic shield A: 31) shielding the magnetic flux leaking from the linear drive part is fitted to the inner surface part of the casing 21.
