PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a lubrication oil level change caused by lubricant operation within an electric-powered compressor, and to secure the detection performance of oil level sensors. SOLUTION: If an oil level detector equipped with an oil level sensor 10 installed near the lubrication oil level to be set up and an oil level sensor 11 that absolutely needs to be installed within the lubrication oil layer at a point near the bottom of a compressor, is housed by a tightly closable tubular container 20 placed within the compressor's space, the oil level detector secures its detection performance without being affected by bubbling, splashes, etc. of a lubrication oil 4 taking place by its operation.
